The administration of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) carried out an operation to check the residential dorms on Tuesday, in the presence of army and police members.
Dr Mohammad Sultan Mahmud, director of Student Welfare at Kuet, said this operation was conducted a day before the halls reopen at 6pm on Wednesday.
He added that classes will commence on August 25.
Each department will announce the specific dates for exams as decided in a syndicate meeting.
The hall provosts have been instructed to strictly follow the rules of the university's residential halls in allocating rooms to students.
