The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSE) has directed the conduct of learning assessment programs for sixth to ninth grades using subject-based assessment tools.
For this purpose, proficiency indicators (PIs) have been revised and new assessment guidelines have been sent to the educational institutions.
The instructions in this regard were sent from the DSE on Wednesday.
According to the directives of the DSE, the previous Proficiency Indicators (PI) for the sixth and seventh grades have been revised and formulated for the purpose of proper implementation of the new curriculum.
In addition, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has developed subject-based learning assessment tools and guidelines for students by developing PIs for eighth and ninth grades.
The directorate has requested to conduct the learning assessment program in sixth to ninth grades following subject-based assessment tools and guidelines prepared by NCTB.
The subject-based assessment guidelines sent to schools have detailed how the learning assessment of students will be done.
