Juta to complain against VC to president

The Jahangirnagar University Teacher’s Association (Juta) decided Monday to send a letter to the President and to the Chancellor of the university Abdul Hamid, complaining against the Vice Chancellor Prof Anwar Hossain.

Juta President, Prof Ajit Kumar Mazumder said the decision was taken at the association’s general meeting Monday.

Juta’s acting secretary associate professor Md Kamruzzaman said: “We have decided to inform the honourable president of the country about our allegations against Prof Anwar Hossain and we will continue administrative office blockade programme.”

“The association will prefer any former VC of the university or any person from the government, nominated by the president to hold talks,” he said.

The teachers of the university have been protesting for over three months against the VC Prof Anwar Hossain.
