The Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) Department of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has organized "In Conversation with MSJ Alumni" on the campus in Dhaka on February 9.
Media Studies and Journalism alumni Kamrunnesa Mira was present as a discussant at the event, according to a press release issued on Tuesday.
Professor Dr Jude William Genilo, head of the Media Studies and Journalism Department, initiated the discussion session.
Later, Assistant Professor Dr Mohammad Shazzad Hossain continued the discussion with Kamrunnesa Mira.
She discussed the importance of entrepreneurship. Kamrunnesa Mira mentioned: "In life you are never satisfied in whatever you are doing. I've gone through the same. It's just a part of your life".
Kamrunnesa Mira is a young entrepreneur and founder of the advertising agency Kites Communication. Her social enterprises are “All for One Foundation” and “Chashivan”.
In addition, she is currently engaged as a consultant and researcher at the UN concerns.
She earned a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies and Journalism from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and a Master's degree in Communication for Development from the University of Illinois Chicago.
The program concluded with a question-answer session on career prospects in entrepreneurship and community development work.
