Girls overshadow boys in securing HSC GPA-5s

Girl students have eclipsed boys in achieving the highest number of GPA-5s in the Higher Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations for 2022.

They also outshone boys in the pass rate, following the trend of recent years.

As per the results, 87.48% of girls and 84.53% of boys passed the examinations from all education boards.

The female students had a 2.95% higher pass rate than their male counterparts.

Of the girls, 95,721 achieved GPA-5s and a total of 80,561 boys secured the same grade point average.

The HSC exam results were published on Wednesday afternoon.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the results.
