Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea) has been relentlessly searching for workers through various processes for ten years to return the Employment Permit System (EPS) workers' insurance money.
Workers are going from Bangladesh to South Korea through EPS system since 2008. So far 27,561 workers have gone to Korea. This year alone, 5,600 workers are going to Korea.
Korean government regulations require all workers to be covered by insurance and bring the insurance money with them when they return from Korea.
But some workers forget to bring the insurance money back. About 300 such Bangladeshi workers will get insurance money. The amount of which can be from Tk30,000 to Tk3 lakh per person, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
In this context a list of employees has been published on Facebook page of HRD Korea EPS Centre in Bangladesh (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100044257253995) on Wednesday.
Anyone mentioned in the list can apply for the insurance money. In addition, if no one listed is alive, spouse or children (if married), parents (if unmarried) can apply with proper proof.
