SSC results: 99.83% students of cadet colleges obtain GPA-5

Cadet colleges across the country have shown outstanding results, obtaining GPA-5 in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination results published on Monday.

Students of 12 cadet colleges of the country came out successful, with about 99.83% students securing the highest grade point average (GPA)-5. Overall pass rate is 100%.

A total of 616 students appeared in the exams this year and 615 of them achieved GPA-5, said the media release of Inter Service Public Relation Directorate (ISPR). 

Only one of them did not get GPA-5.

The press release of the ISPR said Bangladesh Cadet Colleges are residential educational institutions under the direct supervision of the Bangladesh Army Adjutant General and President, Cadet College Management Council under the Ministry of Defence.

Mentioning the goal of the cadet colleges is not only to achieve good results, but also to develop cadets as smart and good citizens, the press release also said character building and co-educational activities are given equal importance in the daily activities of cadets. 

Colleges are constantly adding new educational and co-educational programs so that the cadets can reach a respectable position after getting education from the college, the press release said. 

Highlighting the reasons behind the continuous success of the cadets, it said: “The well-ordered environment within the cadet college, constant care and supervision of the experienced faculty members, diligent regular studies and sincere efforts of the cadets are behind this success.”

“Also, with the proper guidance of the Cadet College Board of Directors, experienced and qualified principals, vice-principals, faculty members, officers and all those working in the college, this successful result has been achieved with the support of the parents,” the release added.
