A limb examinee, Manik Rahman, who sat for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) secured Golden GPA-5 this year.
After the results were released on Monday, he ran the laptop on his feet to see the results.
He obtained Golden A Plus from science department. His total score is 1,242.
Manik Rahman is the son of pharmaceutical's trader Mizanur Rahman and teacher Maryam Begum of Chandrakhana village in Fulbari upazila of Kurigram.
This year, he participated in the examination at Fulbari Pilot Girls High School centre from Fulbari Jossi Mia Model Government High School.
According to family sources, although he does not have two hands, he has become adept at doing all his necessary tasks with his two legs.
We don't think he is disabled. Even though he has no hands since birth, we have taught him to write with his feet since childhood, said Manik's parents.
Manik said: “Even though I don't have two hands, I got Golden GPA-5 in SSC exam by the grace of God. I got Golden A-plus in JSC exam earlier.”
“I want to study in an engineering university and become a computer engineer in future,” he added.
This year's SSC and equivalent exams under eleven boards, including madrasa (Dakhil) and technical education boards, started across the country on September 15.
A total of 2,021,868 students from 29,591 educational institutions took part in the exams at 3,790 centers. Altogether 1,599,711 students participated in the SSC exams under the nine general education boards.
The students can now check their scores at their school premises, on the website of Education Board website, and via text message services.
