Female students who sat for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have outnumbered the male students – in terms of pass rate and GPA-5 in Barisal.
Arun Kumar Gain, Controller of Examinations, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Barisal, announced the results on Monday afternoon.
He informed that the pass rate stands at 89.61%. 10,068 students secured GPA-5 of 85,014 passed examinees from 94,871 appeared examinees at 1,464 school in 187 centres.
In the district-wise SSC result of 2022 under Barisal Education Board, Bhola district is at the top in terms of percentage of pass, while Patuakhali district became lowest.
Meanwhile, there is no school under Barisal Education Board with 0% pass rate.
He said that in Bhola district 92.51% of 15,942 examinees appeared from 212 schools this year for the SSC examination.
The pass rate of Pirojpur district is 91.83% out of 11,714 appeared examinees from 249 schools scoring second position in Barisal.
The pass rate of Barguna district is in the third position in SSC result of 2022 under Barisal Education Board (BEB) with 90.73% pass rate out of appeared 9,843 examinees from 152 institutions.
The pass rate of Barisal district is in the fourth position with 90.54% pass rate out of 29,166 examinees appearing from 418 schools.
The pass rate of Jhalokathi district is in fifth position with 86.93% pass rate out of 8,219 examinees appearing from 172 schools.
The pass rate of Patuakhali district is in sixth position with 84.23% pass rate out of 16,938 examinees appearing from 261 education institution in SSC exam under BEB in 2022.
This year's SSC and equivalent exams under eleven boards, including madrasa (Dakhil) and technical education boards, started across the country on September 15.
A total of 2,021,868 students from 29,591 educational institutions took part in the exams at 3,790 centres. Altogether 1,599,711 students participated in the SSC exams under the nine general education boards.
The students can now check their scores at their school premises, on the website of Education Board website, and via text message services.
