The centenary celebration of Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA) will be held on March 12 at the central playground marking the centenary of the country's oldest university.
A total of 9,337 alumni and 11,326 people including their spouses have registered to participate in the celebration, DUAA President AK Azad told the media on Thursday at the central playground of the university.

Marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Golden Jubilee of country's Independence and the hundred years of Dhaka University, the centenary reunion is being celebrated with elaborate programs including photo exhibition, discussion and cultural programs, said AK Azad.
“The alumni have been working to create a fund of Tk100 crore for overall development of the university,” said Azad, adding: "We have already collected a handsome amount of money and hope that the rest of the funds will be collected in one or two years."
Secretary General Ranjan Karmakar and alumni members of the university, among others, were present on the occasion.
