The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations for 2023 will begin on Sunday.
According to the Ministry of Education, 2,072,163 students have registered to sit for this year's exams.
In order to ensure a fair and peaceful environment no one except the candidates will be allowed within 200 yards of the examination halls during the tests, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said in a press release on Thursday.
Meanwhile, all coaching centres in the country will remain closed from April 26 to May 23 to make sure that the examinations are held smoothly, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said last Tuesday.
She said the examinations will be held on a short syllabus this year.
