Educo Bangladesh on Monday organized a webinar to discuss the state of education in Bangladesh and elsewhere during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The child rights organization released a press release on Tuesday, touching on the discussions and findings of the webinar.
The discussions were held in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), where Educo aims to support the Bangladesh government.

The child rights organization also presented the findings of a survey that examined the negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on children worldwide. 4,476 children and youth from across the world, including 503 from Bangladesh, participated in the study.
Several prominent figures from education sector, including Alamgir Muhammad Mansurul Alam, director general (grade 1) of directorate of primary education, who joined as chief guest, Sumera Ahsan, assistant professor, Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka, Professor Dr AKM Reazul Hasan, member, (primary curriculum textbook), NCTB, and Dr Manzoor Ahmed, professor emeritus, Brac University, chairman, Bangladesh ECD Network took part in the webinar.
The special guests stressed the need for ensuring quality education when the students get back to regular schooling after the pandemic. They also suggested a complete restructure of the education system in Bangladesh.
