North South University (NSU) secured the first position among all private universities of the country in the latest QS World University Rankings - Asia 2021, which was unveiled on Thursday.
The university ranked 228th out of 500 top academic institutions across the globe, a significant leap from its previous standing of 291-300 in 2020 and 301-350 in 2019, said a press release.
It was the first and only private university in Bangladesh, to enter the QS graduate employability rankings in 2020.
In the category of QS World University by Subject Rankings 2020, they ranked 401-450 in Business and Management Studies (School of Business and Economics) and 551-600in Computer Science and Information Systems (School of Engineering and Physical Sciences).
The QS World University Rankings by Subject ranks the world's top universities in individual subject areas, covering 51 subjects.
Earlier, NSU emerged in the list of Global Top 500 for Graduate Employability Ranking 2019, which compares the university's performance in terms of graduate employability outcomes and prospects.
