The Ministry of Education has said it noticed that teachers, parents, and students are being misled on social media by people opening fake Facebook pages and profiles in the name of the Ministry of Education (Ministry of Education Board) and announcing the re-opening of educational institutions and providing various fictitious dates for HSC (Higher Secondary Education) and equivalent examinations.
Teachers, parents, and students are being requested to be vigilant in this regard, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
However, the minister has also sought the cooperation of the media in this regard.
According to the Ministry of Education, no decision has been taken yet on when the educational institutions will be reopened, and when the HSC and equivalent examinations will be held due to health risks posed by Covid-19.
If there is a suitable condition for taking the exam then the exams will be held and the date will be informed through the media. If a suitable environment exists, the decision will be taken to open educational institutions.
The ministry has urged all not to believe fake pages or social media information.
A fake page called the Ministry of Education Board mentioned: “Decision on HSC examination is final - the HSC examination is starting from October 15 in accordance with the health rules. The routine will be published on October 1 - Ministry of Education,” which is completely false and imaginary.
However, the Ministry of Education provided its verified Facebook page and requested to follow if needed.
In this situation, the ministry has urged students to continue their studies without paying attention to any rumours.
