Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) on Wednesday decided to join a proposed combined entry test system to reduce the suffering of admission seekers.
The decision was taken during the 156th academic council of the university, SUST Vice-Chancellor Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed told UNB on Thursday morning.
"It will be effective from the 2020-21 session," he said, adding that this year's entry test will follow the regular admission process as the combined system is yet to be ready and a guideline needs to be made.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Wednesday said admission tests in most universities will be held through a cluster system from next year. The unified admission system will be introduced at all universities in phases.
