Agami Education Foundation, a sister organisation of Agami Inc., USA, has successfully completed two-day long “Head Teachers’ Workshop”.
The workshop was held from January 12-13, 2019, at the AEF office in the capital.
This workshop was arranged with a view to enhance the understanding on school management and leadership qualities of the participants.
A total of 10 head teachers from different Agami-supported schools participated in the workshop.
Nafisa Khanam, executive director of AEF, facilitated the workshop accompanied by Marjuk Ahmed, deputy programme manager of the same organisation.
Earlier, both of them developed the training manual.
The workshop provided an extensive overview of various leadership components, administrative tools, quality of head teacher and roles and responsibilities performed by them, and strengthening school monitoring.
The morning sessions focused on identifying impediments to diversification of existing scenario, sharing programmes, projects and initiatives (PPIs) where afternoon sessions were designed to produce strategies that could help push discussion on a broad from in order to keep up the standard of education.
Dr. Mohammed Mosihuzzaman, president of AEF inaugurated the programme.
It was attended by, among others, Dilruba Chowdhury, vice president Agami Inc., USA; Dr. Tazkera Khanom, director of finance, AEF; M Abdur Rahman Khan, director of administration, AEF; and Shibnath Sarker, director of field operations, AEF.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
On the closing ceremony, the teachers shared their experiences, and expressed gratitude to AEF for arranging such time worthy event.
This workshop is expected to be helpful in enhancing the teachers’ capabilities, leadership and augmenting the quality of education in Agami supported schools.
