20 JAAGO sponsored children to sit for SSC exam in 2018

A total 20 students from the JAAGO Foundation’s Rayer Bazar School will be appearing for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination under the Bangladesh Government National Curriculum (NCTB) in the English Version this year. Of the 20 students, 9 are studying science and 11 are in business studies. At present, JAAGO has 13 schools with 3,000 students across Bangladesh. Children who are studying at the schools come from families that are unable to bear even fundamental living expenses, let alone tuition fees for their children. Each of the children receives Tk2,000 per month from “sponsor parents.” This amount covers all of the student’s basic needs, including books, stationary, nutrition, school uniforms, monthly medical check-ups, hygiene products and the teacher’s salary.
