2 NCTB officials made OSD over errors in textbooks

Two officials of National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) have been made ‘officer on special duty’ (OSD) by the Education Ministry over the errors in the government textbooks.
The OSD officials are chief editor Pritish Kumar Sarkar and senior expert Lana Humaira Khan of the NCTB, said Subodh Chandra Dhali, deputy secretary of Education Ministry.
A committee was formed by the Education Ministry following anger and condemnation on social media over the errors in the government textbooks.
After the primary investigation two officials were made OSD.
Around 36,210 million free textbooks were distributed on January 1 among 42.6 million school students of the country as part of the Textbook Festival Day celebrations.
