Mastermind school semi finalist of Alfred Tuna World Schools Debate Tournament

A team from Mastermind school became a semi finalist in Alfred Tuna Snider International World Schools Debate Tournament.
Teams from all across the United States and Canada, including members of the US national and development teams that would be going to World Schools Debating Championships this year participated in the tournament. This was the first time a Bangladeshi team participated in the tournament.
The team comprising of Shariqa Shaila, Ramisha Sharika and Inqiyad Patwary placed 8th on tab.
The tournament was hosted by Cornell Speech and Debate Society from October 27 to 29, 2017.
The Chief Adjudicators were Reefat Aziz, a Bangladeshi hailing from the University of Rochester, Bojana Skrt from the University of Ljubljana, and Nelson Kezoh from the University of Cornell.
Alfred Tuna Snider was born on 28 October 1950. The tournament held during his birthday weekend aimed to celebrate his life and work oby doing what he loved the most – debating.
