Traffic restriction imposed on Airport Road for 24 hours

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Thursday said the outgoing west lane of Airport road from Khilkhet intersection to Munmun Kabab or Padma Oil intersection will be closed from 10am Friday to 10am Saturday. However, the east lane will be kept open for incoming and outgoing traffic, DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Masudur Rahman said in a statement. Dhaka-bound vehicles have been requested to use Beribadh-Mazar Road or Gabtoli Road to enter the capital instead of using the Abdullahpur route. Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to arrive on Friday on a two-day visit with Dhaka describing it as a "crucial" tour to open a new horizon for bilateral economic relations.
