PM Tarique attends Dhaka Medical College's 80th anniversary

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman attended the 80th anniversary celebrations of Dhaka Medical College on Saturday.

He arrived on the campus at around 10am and visited various student stalls.

His wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman, and Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Sakhawat Hossain Bakul were also present.

According to the organizers, the prime minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for two student hostels under the Directorate of Health Education's "20 Hostel Project." He will also plant a tree and attend a discussion.

A festive atmosphere prevailed on the campus ahead of the prime minister's arrival, with students gathering to catch a glimpse of him.

The organizers expressed hope that the prime minister would announce measures to address various issues facing Dhaka Medical College.

Dhaka Medical College was established on July 10, 1946.
