Sheba Prokashani has suspended all of its activities following allegations of internal irregularities and corruption, according to a notice issued by the publishing house on Wednesday.
The decision was taken to facilitate a neutral and orderly audit process into the reported issues, the notice said.
The publisher operates from its head office at 24/4 Kazi Motahar Hossain Road in Segunbagicha, Dhaka-1000, with a showroom at 36/10 Banglabazar in the capital.
In the notice, Sheba Prokashani said that various internal irregularities and corruption-related matters had recently come to its attention, prompting the temporary shutdown of all operations to ensure a proper audit.
The notice was signed by Kazi Shahnur Hossain, partner of Sheba Prokashani.
