BADC Chairman calls for accountability, innovation and strong commitment to serve farmers

Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) Chairman Md Azizul Islam has urged officials to perform their duties with dedication, accountability, and a strong commitment to agricultural and farmer development.

He made the remarks at the monthly coordination meeting held on Sunday at the seminar hall of Krishi Bhaban, where senior officials of BADC headquarters were present, said a press release.

The chairman emphasized that the achievements of BADC depend on the collective efforts of all employees rather than any individual. He stressed the need for effective implementation of government policies and ensuring that services reach farmers directly at the grassroots level.

He further called for a shift beyond traditional practices, urging officials to introduce innovative and demand-driven initiatives aligned with farmers’ needs. Such reforms, he noted, are essential to making BADC more efficient and impactful.

Md Azizul Islam also instructed officials to uphold high standards of accountability and adopt modern working methods. He expressed hope that these measures would enhance the organization’s credibility and help establish BADC as a key and exemplary institution in the agricultural sector.
