The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has sealed 31 illegal bus ticket counters at the capital’s Syedabad Janapath intersection and the Jatrabari–Mawa Road junction during a special drive conducted on Monday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media cell confirmed the matter.
According to DMP media cell, the drive was carried out in line with a prior notice issued by DSCC, which instructed the closure and removal of all unauthorized roadside ticket counters operating outside designated terminals.
The DMP said the drive is part of an ongoing initiative aimed at ensuring smooth public movement and restoring discipline on city roads.
They added that similar operations will continue in the coming days to curb illegal activities and improve overall traffic management across the capital.
