Cabinet Secretary Dr Sheikh Abdur Rashid has resigned from his post.
He confirmed the development around 8pm on Saturday.
Speaking to Dhaka Tribune, Rashid said: “I have resigned. I do not know who will conduct the Cabinet’s oath-taking ceremony, because I am no longer in office.”
In response to another question, he added: “I also do not know when the new Cabinet will take the oath, because I am now out of service.”
