Stamford University Shahitya Forum bade farewell to winter and welcomed the arrival of spring with a vibrant cultural programme titled ‘Maagh Moitri’, held on Sunday at the campus auditorium of Stamford University Bangladesh.
The event created a festive atmosphere filled with artistic expression as students, alumni, and faculty members gathered to celebrate the seasonal transition. It featured a rich blend of music, recitation, dance, and theatrical performances, highlighting the cultural heritage and creative talents of the university’s students.
Ms Sharmin Siddique Shoma, Convener of the Stamford University Shahitya Forum, attended the programme alongside Ms Zakia Noor Matin, Adviser of the forum. Also present were Prodeepto Mobarook, Head of the Public Relations Division of Stamford University Bangladesh, and Ms Tamanna Zerin, Adviser of Students’ Welfare. Members and alumni actively participated, adding to the spirit of unity and camaraderie.
Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of cultural activities in nurturing creativity, preserving literary traditions, and strengthening bonds among students. They praised the Shahitya Forum for organizing a programme that successfully combined entertainment with cultural awareness.
Alongside the cultural performances, a colourful fair was held on campus. Several attractively decorated stalls offered a variety of products, including handicrafts, books, traditional items, and food. The fair drew considerable attention from students and guests, creating a lively and engaging environment throughout the day.
