Student presence at Dhaka University appeared relatively thin on Monday amid the verdict in the crimes against humanity case against Sheikh Hasina.
However, a few transport services were seen operating on campus since the morning, according to information received.
During a visit to the TSC area, the Faculty of Arts premises, the Raju Sculpture and the Central Library around 9:30am, it was observed that student movement was lower than usual.
No procession, either in favour of or against the verdict involving Sheikh Hasina, had taken place as of then.
According to relevant sources, a procession is expected around 11:30am by Islami Chhatra Shibir along with general students.
The sources said they intend to hold a program demanding the highest punishment for Sheikh Hasina.
Several tea stall owners in the area said students usually gather during class breaks at this time, but the atmosphere appeared noticeably quiet on Monday.
