JnU IT Society gets new body

The Jagannath University (JnU) IT Society on Monday gets a new body as Imam Hasan and Md Bayazid Sarkar elected as president and and general secretary consecutively.

The committee was officially announced through a notice issued by the Chief Election Commissioner of the JnU IT Society Asif Ahmed Rozel, along with mentor and Chairman of the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Prof Dr Uzzal Kumar Acharjee.

The newly formed committee includes Tahsina Naima Khan, Ibrahim Sheikh and Tawhid Hasan as vice presidents.

Meanwhile, Md Alif, Md Abu Sayeed and Monika Jahan Khadeja have been given responsibility as assistant general secretaries.

President Imam Hasan said: “Being elected as President is a moment of pride and responsibility for me. I extend my gratitude to all members, well-wishers and voters—whose trust, support and love have brought me to this position. I believe that, with everyone's cooperation, we can shape the JnU IT Society into a more tech-focused, inclusive and education-friendly organization. Together, we will move forward toward new possibilities.”

General Secretary Baizid said: “In this era of information technology, I feel proud and grateful to have been elected as general secretary of the JnU IT Society. My mission is to create a learning environment for all students of the university, where everyone can enhance their IT skills."

He added: "With all the committee members, we want to move forward together and continue working for all the students of the university.”
