A fire that broke out in a multi-storey building in the capital's Purana Paltan area on Monday morning was brought under control within half an hour.
According to fire service sources, the fire originated on the 6th floor of the 10-storey building located at 50 Purana Paltan around 6:55am.
Five fire engines from the Siddique Bazar fire station rushed to the scene and extinguished the blaze by 7:18am.
No casualties were reported, sources said.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be determined immediately, they added.
