A cocktail-like explosive device detonated in front of the gate of the International Crimes Tribunal adjacent to the Shishu Academy in the capital.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning around 6am.
Khalid Monsur, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shahbagh police station, informed Bangla Tribune about the incident.
He said that an investigation is underway and legal procedures are in progress.
All relevant parties have been notified, but no arrests have been made so far, he added.
The OC further added that examination of CCTV footage and other investigative activities are ongoing.
Meanwhile, formal charges have been filed on Sunday at the International Crimes Tribunal against Sheikh Hasina for crimes against humanity during the July uprising.
