March for Gaza: Crowds march from Zero Point to Suhrawardy Udyan

In a show of solidarity with Palestinians, a massive crowd has begun marching from Gulistan’s Zero Point towards Suhrawardy Udyan to take part in the "March for Gaza" program.

Although the main event was scheduled to begin at 3pm on Saturday, people from various walks of life, especially from the south-eastern districts of the country, started gathering at the venue from the morning.

Marchers carrying the national flags of Bangladesh and Palestine are heading towards Suhrawardy Udyan via the Secretariat and Paltan roads, chanting slogans and forming processions.

Some were also seen holding effigies of Israeli President Netanyahu with garlands of shoes around his neck.

The entire area reverberated with chants of "Free Palestine." Along with members of the general public, leaders and activists from various political parties, including BNP and Jamaat, have spontaneously joined the program.
