The gas distribution company Titas has said that due to pipeline relocation work, the gas supply will be suspended for 13 hours on Thursday in Kurmitola, Khilkhet, Kawla, and surrounding areas of the capital.
Titas Gas authorities in press release on Wednesday added that gas supply will be suspended from 1pm on Thursday to 2am on Friday due to the relocation of an existing gas pipeline along the alignment of the underground stations (Airport and Khilkhet) of MRT Line-1 under Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited.
As a result, gas supply will be completely halted for all types of consumers in areas including Kurmitola Hospital, Hotel Radisson, RPGCL, Dhaka Regency, Khilkhet, Concord City (up to the riverbank), Hotel Le Méridien, Balaka Bhaban, Haji Camp, Kawla’s Airport Catering House, and the Civil Aviation Quarters, along with adjacent regions.
Additionally, areas such as Joar Sahara, Nikunja, and nearby locations may experience low gas pressure.
Titas Gas authorities apologized to customers for the temporary inconvenience.
