The Dhaka University unit of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has announced its full committee for the 2025 session.
The secretariat list, signed by DU unit president SM Farhad, was officially released on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
The newly formed secretariat includes Md. Imran Hossain (Office Secretary), Md Iqbal Haider (Science Secretary), Hasan Mohammad Yasir (Business Education Secretary), Mazaharul Islam (Human Resource Development Secretary), Nurul Islam Nur (Student Welfare Secretary), Md Anis Mahmud Sakib (Publication Secretary), Mazaharul Islam Mujahid (Student Rights and Skill Development Secretary), Sajjad Hossain Khan (Publicity and Media Secretary), Nurul Islam Sabbir (Finance Secretary), Abdullah Al-Amin (Education Secretary), Md Miftahul Hossain Al Maruf (Literature and Sports Secretary), Hamidur Rashid Jamil (Dawah Secretary), Syed Tanbir Hasan Jahin (International Affairs and Research Secretary), Md Shariful Islam Muaz (Law and Human Rights Secretary), and Abdullah Al Mahmud (Information Technology Secretary)
President SM Farhad said that the committee was formed after extensive discussions and consultations with senior leaders of the organization.
He emphasized that the secretariat reflects a strategic focus on fostering leadership, ensuring student welfare, and promoting academic and extracurricular excellence.
Regarding hall committees, SM Farhad said: “The Dhaka University unit will temporarily oversee hall-related activities. Our focus is on engaging hall students with our organizational vision. Once we expand our activities, appropriate decisions will be made, and updates will be shared.”
Earlier, on January 2, 2025, SM Farhad was elected as the President of Chhatra Shibir’s Dhaka University unit, while Mohiuddin Khan and Kazi Ashik were appointed as General Secretary and Organizational Secretary, respectively.
