Adviser for Information and Broadcasting Nahid Islam has announced that journalists will be able to enter the Secretariat with new cards from Monday.
He said: "The Home and Information Ministries will work on this matter."
Both permanent and temporary passes for journalists and others to enter the Secretariat have been cancelled, he said, adding that: "New passes will be issued after verification."
He was speaking at a briefing after a meeting with journalists and leaders of organizations working in the Secretariat on Sunday.
Journalists also held a meeting on the same issue with the Home Affairs Adviser.
