Students from Government Titumir College have once again blocked roads in the capital's Mohakhali area, demanding the college’s upgrade to a university.
This has led to renewed traffic congestion following a day of gridlock, causing severe inconvenience for commuters.
Meanwhile, a 12-member delegation of the protesting students has staged a sit-in in front of the Ministry of Education at the Secretariat.
On Monday at around 7pm, students blocked the road in front of Titumir College.
Earlier in the day, around 11am they had blocked the roads and railway tracks at the Mohakhali rail crossing, which ended at 4pm.
Three hours later, they resumed their road blockade again.
Additionally, a 12-member delegation of the protesting students met with the Ministry of Education in the afternoon.
