BNP and its affiliated organizations including Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal leaders and activists have gathered in front of the Awami League's headquarters in observance of Shaheed Noor Hossain Day.
Since Sunday morning, various units of BNP have been protesting in front of the Awami League office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital.
BNP leaders and activists had taken positions in front of the Awami League's office at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue, chanting various slogans.
Every half hour, BNP activists held protest marches, moving from 23 Bangabandhu Avenue to Noor Chattar (Noor Square) and back to their starting point at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue.
According to BNP activists, more leaders and activists from various BNP units were arriving in Gulistan, gradually joining the protest.
Meanwhile, at Noor Hossain Square at Zero Point in the capital, several political parties and members of Noor Hossain’s family paid floral tributes.
Additionally, BNP and its affiliate organizations’ leaders and activists were present at Zero Point.
In memory of Shaheed Noor Hossain and with the demand for the removal of “anti-democratic forces” and the “restoration of democratic governance,” the Awami League has announced a protest march in Gulistan on Sunday in the afternoon.
In contrast, on the same day, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has called for a public rally at the same location, demanding the trial of the deposed Awami League.
