Sarjis Alam, a key coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, said that challenges will not end even after the July uprising in 2024, as the allies of the fascists will mislead country's people until an elected government is in place.
He made these remarks at a discussion meeting held at the Fire Service Field in Mirpur-10, Dhaka, on Friday
Sarjis Alam mentioned: "Until a government elected by the people comes to power, the allies of fascism will appear in different groups and mislead you. They will put you in difficult situations and exploit you."
"You all need to stay vigilant from your own positions," he added.
He also said: "Awami League, Jubo League, Swechasebak League, and Chhatra League cadres had fired shots and attacked students and the public. They must be arrested at any cost. Otherwise, they will return as instigators of disorder."
Sarjis Alam concluded by saying: "One thing you must always remember, never forget: those who were on the streets during the uprising are tested soldiers. They are your true friends."
