Chief Adviser’s office goes plastic bottle-free

The State Guest House Jamuna, the office of Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, has become a plastic bottle-free zone.

Syeda Rizwana Hasan, the adviser for environment, forest and climate change, spearheaded the initiative and urged her fellow members of the advisory council to cease using plastic bottles, Shafiqul Alam, the chief adviser’s press secretary said in a Facebook post on Thursday.

The chief adviser endorsed the idea, leading to Jamuna now being a plastic bottle-free zone.

According to Shafiqul Alam, it has been about a week since Jamuna stopped using plastic bottled water.

"Initially, I thought it would not be possible, but it has been about a week since we made the switch," he said.
