Chhatra Dal leader Mohammad Riaz, who was injured during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement on August 4, has passed away.
Riaz, a member of the Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal from Hizla Upazila in Barisal district, was known as a student leader at Muladi Government College.
He died on Saturday evening while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
According to the central office of the Chhatra Dal, Riaz was shot in front of City College, Science Lab, while participating in the quota reform movement on August 4.
His funeral prayer will be held on Saturday at 8:30pm at the party office.
