Protesters, police, Awami League clash in Uttara's Azampur

Clashes have erupted between protesters, police, and Awami League leaders and activists in the Azampur area in Uttara amid the non-cooperation movement. The conflict began around 12pm on Sunday.

Earlier, protesters chased away Awami League leaders and activists, blocking the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.

Protesters had occupied the road from BNS Centre to Azampur, causing a complete halt in traffic.

At around 12pm, former Awami League member of parliament Dabi Hasan was addressing a gathering in Azampur. Protesters were present on the road, leading to a confrontation where Awami League leaders and activists clashed with the protesters. The situation escalated into a violent clash involving Awami League leaders, activists, police, and protesters.

During the clash, parts of the highway were set on fire, further intensifying the chaos.
