Two more coordinators of the quota reform movement have been taken into custody by the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday evening.
They are Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of DB Junaid Alam Sarkar confirmed the information to media at night.
He said the two have been taken into custody for personal security and information about recent developments.
Meanwhile, the DB claimed that the three coordinators of the quota reform movement held talks with the leaders arrested on charges of sabotage. The organization said that among the leaders are Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar and Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur.

Earlier, three coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, including Nahid Islam, had been taken into custody for their safety, the chief of the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Harunor Rashid had said.
DB officials took Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud and Abu Baker Majumder into their custody from the capital's Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital on Friday afternoon.
Earlier, Nahid Islam’s father, Badrul Alam, and several witnesses told Dhaka Tribune that some plainclothes individuals from law enforcement agencies picked up Nahid and Asif from Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital around 4pm on Friday.
