Quota movement: 71 injured receive treatment at DMCH

At least 71 people were injured in clashes in different parts of Dhaka and received treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Tuesday amid the ongoing protest of students demanding quota reform. 

As of 6pm, 71 people have been given treatment at DMCH.

Among them, at least seven people received bullet injuries.

Among the bullet-sustained injured, three people were taken to DMCH from the Chankharpool area.

A youth was killed on Tuesday afternoon in a clash between quota reform activists and Chhatra League in front of Dhaka College in the capital.

The injured was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition where the duty doctors declared him dead.

With this, four deaths have been reported in the ongoing student movement for quota reform in Dhaka, Chittagong, and Rangpur.
