Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has successfully completed the removal of all sacrificial animal waste on the second day of Eid-ul-Azha.
DNCC’s Waste Management Department removed a total of 4,009 tons of waste across the city in 927 trips by 5pm on Tuesday, according to a press release.
On Eid day one, the waste removal operation began at 2pm, and DNCC managed to clear all waste from every ward within the designated six hours, completing the task by 8pm, it said.
On Eid day alone, DNCC removed approximately 10,374 tons of waste from all wards, executing 2,101 trips.
