A man who worked as a community policeman of the Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association has died in Gulistan, Dhaka.
Bazlur Rahman, 50, died in front of the Fulbaria bus stand on Sunday around 4:30pm.
Ruhul Amin, a fellow community policeman who brought him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Bazlur Rahman was on duty in the afternoon. At this time, he suddenly passed out due to extreme heat.
Later, he was rescued and brought to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 5:30pm, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, he added.
DMP Bangshal police station Sub-Inspector Md Shah Jalal said he may have died of heatstroke. But the exact cause of death can be ascertained after getting the autopsy report.
