Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) is sprinkling water from 10am to 4pm daily in 10 zones, using two spray cannons and ten bowsers to sprinkle around 400,000 litres of water.
People's lives have become exhausted in severe heat waves across the country. Every road in the capital is like a fire pit. DNCC is sprinkling water on the road every day to reduce the heat.
Water will be sprinkled even on holidays, as per DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam's directives.
These machines sprinkle water on summer days as well as on winter days to avoid road dust and air pollution.
