At least one person was killed when a bus rammed into a private car on the Dhaka Elevated Expressway on Monday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Milon, 50.
He succumbed to his injuries after being taken to Kurmitola General Hospital.
The incident took place at around 6pm on the expressway's East Nakhalpara section.
Another injured, Mahfuz, 35, has been admitted to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation.
A VIP Paribahan bus rear-ended the car after losing control as its tyre burst.
Following that, the car's driver lost control of the steering wheel and collided with the bus head-on.
The bus driver fled the scene.
Legal proceedings are underway in this regard.
