Gopibagh train fire: Awami League team visits injured at hospital

A delegation of the Awami League went to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery to inquire about the injured victims of the Gopibagh train fire.

They went there on Saturday afternoon under the leadership of Awami League Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua.

At that time, they sympathized with the passengers of the Benapole Express train and inquired about the overall treatment.

After visiting the people, Barrister Biplab Barua said those who are involved in arson terrorism are not human beings. “Those who do politics by burning people cannot be called politicians, they can be called terrorists.”

Biplab Barua later claimed that the incident was staged to spoil the election atmosphere in Bangladesh. "Which political party does not allow voters to go to voting centres?”

So far, BNP-Jamaat has killed many people by setting fire to trains, he added.

Awami League Health and Population Affairs Secretary, Dr Rokeya Sultana and Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan were also present.

On Friday night, miscreants set fire to the Benapole Express train in the Gopibagh area of the capital. Four deaths have been reported.
