One person was killed after getting hit by a train in the capital’s Karwan Bazar area Tuesday evening.
The deceased is Abu Nashar Shahid, 46.
Pedestrians rescued him and brought him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) following a local hospital.
The doctor on duty declared him dead at 7:30pm after examination.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost in-Charge Md Bacchu Mia confirmed the incident, adding that the body has been kept in the hospital morgue.
The matter has been informed to the Dhaka Railway police station, he added.
