The death toll from a fire at a Mohakhali filling station last week has climbed to four, with another victim succumbing to his burn injuries at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Monday morning.
Md Masum, 28, with 60% burns, breathed his last at 11am, said Md Tariqul Islam, a resident surgeon at the institute.
Salauddin, 38, Amir Hossain Sumon, 32, and Abul Khair Gazi, 44, previously perished in the incident.
Jiban, 21, Kamal Hossain, 50, Rana, 30, and Muhammad Mamun, 30, are currently receiving treatment.
The fire at Royal Filling Station in Mohakhali started at around 8pm on Wednesday, and two firefighting units brought the blaze under control at about 8:45pm.
