A fire that broke out at a four-storey building in the capital's Kakrail area on Monday morning has been brought under control.
“The fire started at the SA Paribahan’s Parcel and Courier Service office at 10:10am. On receiving the information, 10 firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought it under control around 11 am,” said Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters media cell.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he said.
No casualties have been reported, said the official, adding that the extent of damage has yet to be ascertained.
